The Columbus Bar Pro Bono Committee is set to receive nominations for outstanding pro bono service by an individual attorney or judge. The committee will select an attorney and judge from the nominees and recommend the awards recognizing exceptional service to those whose access to the legal system is limited. The awards will be presented at the Columbus Bar Association and Foundation Annual Awards Luncheon on Friday, May 9, at the Sheraton Hotel, 75 E. State Street.
If you know an attorney or judge who has demonstrated exceptional pro bono service in the past year or has shown a sustained commitment to provide, encourage or facilitate pro bono service over the past several years, you are encouraged to nominate that individual or judge for an Outstanding Pro Bono Service Award. Nominations should be returned to She’lia Bolding at the Columbus Bar before March 7.
We know there are many of our members who are committed to the legal needs of the poor and are generous with their time and resources. Their commitment makes a very real difference in the lives of many people.
Please take time to think of the pro bono activities that surround you and nominate candidates for one of these prestigious service awards so we can publicly thank them for their hard work.
Please contact She'lia Bolding (email@example.com) by March 7, 2014 with your nomination.
