Columbus Bar Member Pays It Forward

Istavan Gajary joined five other Columbus attorneys last week to provide pro bono legal advice and services at Xenos Free Legal Clinic in Reynoldsburg.

Columbus Bar member Gajary is among many professional service providers who attend Xenos Christian Fellowship and responded to a call for action by the organization’s community outreach liaison Bruce Robinson to fulfill the need for free legal services in the eastside area.

Gajary practices in the areas of zoning and land use, civil litigation and criminal law with the firm Peterson Conners Fergus & Peer. He says he is just one of many attorneys, dentists and physicians who attend Xenos Fellowship and feel strongly that providing legal services and medical care to the underserved is simply the right thing to do.

Columbus Bar Pro Bono coordinator She’lia Bolding was instrumental in assisting volunteer attorneys get the project off the ground by helping the group obtain professional liability insurance. Ms. Bolding attended the Xenos Clinic opening and commented that attorneys such as Mr. Gajary volunteer their time out of pure kindness and their efforts are not only deeply appreciated but should be applauded.

The need in our communities throughout Central Ohio is tremendous. For a full list of legal service clinics, please click here. Consider joining the pro bono efforts with other Bar members. Contact She’lia Bolding at she'lia@cbalaw.org.
