New Online CLE Makes Debut

Among the recent changes in the Supreme Court of Ohio Rule X, governing continuing legal education, is the allowance of up to 12 hours of on-line during an attorney reporting period. In response to the growing trend of online class participation, the Columbus Bar kicked off its new online CLE self-study offerings on January 22, designed to give attorneys a better experience.

Attorneys will find the classes as they have in the past, at www.cbalaw.org, but when they click on the "Online CLE" page they will be welcomed into a new and more user-friendly world. Classes offered will include a variety of programs that were recorded "live" at the Columbus Bar. Among them will be the “Masters Series Lawyers in History,” “Lawyers in Literature and Cinema,” and the most recent version “Great American Trials.” Other programs offered will include specialized topics such as oil and gas law, environmental law, entertainment law and more. Visit often – seminars will be added throughout the year.
