Women Lawyers Meet for Global Conversation

Women Lawyers of Franklin County turns its attention overseas for the next luncheon – Women Lawyers Around the World – to chat with local female lawyers about their international law backgrounds.

Want to know what it’s like to practice law in India? Ask Vinita Bahri-Mehra of Kegler, Brown.

Or to be an associate in China? Ask Jackie Jernejcic of IBM.

Or serve at the International Criminal Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia where the trials of alleged war criminals are held? Ask retired U.S. Air Force Colonel Linda Murane.

There will be a host of other questions to a distinguished panel: Lisa Han (Squire Sanders), China; Orsolya Hamar-Hilt (Supreme Court of Ohio), Hungary; Christina Hultsch (Porter Wright Morris & Arthur), Germany; Vinita Bahri-Mehra (Kegler Brown Hill & Ritter) India; Jackie Jernejcic (IBM), China; and Linda Murane (Judicial Bailiff for Judge Anne Taylor) U.S. Air Force.

RSVP to Caitlin Chamberlin, cchamberlin@porterwright.com, 227-2029. Luncheon begins at 12:30pm at the Columbus Bar. Cost: $10 for members to attend and $15 for non-members to attend. The fee to attend the luncheon remains the same regardless of whether the attendee has lunch. The fee covers more than the lunch: it goes into WLFC’s operating budget for the entire programming year and helps keep the membership fees low at only $50/year.
