Columbus Bar Foundation 2022 Annual Meeting Recap
On July 21, 2022, the Columbus Bar Foundation celebrated another successful year at our joint Annual Meeting and 50 Year Luncheon. Held at Mitchell Hall on Columbus State Community College’s campus, we had nearly 100 people out to enjoy a good lunch, celebrate the Foundation, swear in our new president and trustees, and honor attorneys who recently celebrated 50 years in the practice of law.
Hon. Richard A. Frye kicked the meeting off with a special welcome for everyone, and secretary/treasurer Andrew Grossman provided us with an update on current Foundation funds, initiatives, and goals.
We also took a few moments to celebrate a number of lawyers who celebrated 50 years of service to the Bar in 2020, 2021 and 2022. Thomas Hill and Nancy Rogers gave speeches as representatives of the 1970 and 1972 classes, respectively. While not everyone was able to make it, we were honored to present commemorative pins to Hillard Abroms, George J. Arnold, Anthony Auten, Michael Becker, James H. Bownas, Jeffrey Grossman, Tom Hill, Richard B. Igo, James E. Melle, John Nemeth, Bob Palmer, Jim Ready, Nancy Rogers, Ronald Rowland, James Schottenstein, David Sidor, Kim Swanson, Thomas Vivyan, Robert Walter, Joel E. Wesp and Rick Yost.
Please join us in welcoming Sue Porter as Foundation president for 2022-23 and extending a big thank you to Hon. Richard Frye for his leadership over the past year. We are looking forward to another great year with the Foundation!
