The Columbus Bar Foundation is a 501(c)3 dedicated to promoting an understanding of the law, the role of the legal profession, and access to justice for all. The Foundation is currently seeking a Development Director to direct its fundraising efforts.

Job Roles:
- Working in close collaboration with the Executive Director and Board of Trustees, the Development Director is responsible for fundraising and development efforts
Qualitities and Attributes:
- Commitment to the Columbus Bar Foundation's mission and fundraising growth
- A bachelor's degree, 3-5 years of relevant development and campaign experience or equivalent combination of same
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build strong donor relationships
- Business skills, budgeting, and financial acumen
- Experience with Microsoft Windows 10 (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Docs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, sensitvity to gift histories and proprietary information of both the Columbus Bar Foundation and Association
- Ability to remain flexible and prioritize changing demands
Responsibilites:
- Expand the number of donors and funds raised to benefit the Columbus Bar Foundation
- Create overall strategy, execution, and evalutaion of fundraising campaigns, events and programs that generate revenue
- Develop and manage a budget to achieve maximum efficiency in reaching cost/revenue goals
- Research, identify, cultivate, and obtain gifts from individuals and law firms. Engage and facilitate cultivation and solicitation by trustees and campaign leaders
- Nurture relationships with key donors and create strategies for effective solicitation
- Ensure the timely acknowledgement of donations and accuracy of donor data and reports
- Oversee donor recognition, marketing, and website development
- Regularly evaluate progress and refine goals, strategy or tactics as needed
General:
- Support Foundation events and fundraising outcomes
- Other duties as assigned
